Description

Cobh Golf Club is unique in that it remains the latest members owned club to be affiliated to the GUI and ILGU. It enjoys a vibrant membership with a friendly welcoming atmosphere to guests and visitors alike. In 2009, the old 9 hole course in Ballywilliam gave way to a brandnew 18 hole championship standard golf course at Marino Point, ca 2 miles outside the picturesque town of Cobh in CorkHarbour. The new course presents a fair challenge to all golfers, from beginners to professionals. It is a 6618 yards, par 72 (73 for Ladies) championship standard golf course with USGA specification greens. An attraction for every Golf enthusiast is Munsters only full Island Green at the par 3, 10th. The magnificent site at Marino is located in an elevated position and offers stunning views of the inner harbour, the estuary and surrounding countryside. The course was developed by the world renowned golf course architects Hawtree Limited.
