Description

Durness GC was opened in 1988 and is the most northwesterly course on mainland Britain. Despite its remote location it is kept in pristine condition and is a challenge for any level of golfer and a pleasure to play in its peaceful and stunning setting. There are 9 greens but a second set of different tees gives it an 18 hole feel. Each hole sets a different challenge many created by nature itself. The 9th./18th. hole is played over a deep gully where the Atlantic flows when the tide is in. This hole has featured in Peter Alliss' TV series "Travels With Alliss" so is the most famous of the holes but the other 8 have attractive qualities of their own. Why not try it and see !
